    Hi to all,
I have recently read about the corporation viewpoint and the allegation that it is blatant spyware. Well I checked my pc with Xoftspy se and it found loads viewpoint problems. I quarentined them with the program and also deleted with add/remove the viewpoint media player. Now the problem, after I have logged onto AOL everything that was quarentined or removed reinstalls again. Does anyone have any views or information on this.

    Regards, Kevin.

You don't want any of the Viewpoint stuff on your PC!

    Run this: ViewpointKiller

Did it come back now? It should not.

What version of AOL do you have?

Is it coming back when you log in (check right after logging in) or is it coming back when you log out (I remember AOL likes to waste everyones time forcing updates on you when you log out whether you want them or not.

You are the first person to report this problem. Everyone else has success using this tool or by doing a manual removal and then the only time it comes back is when you reinstall any AOL software (like AOL or AIM).

    Hi there,
Sorry for the delay in posting back, I have AOL 9. After I have removed viewpoint I log back into AOL, I then recheck with xoftspy se and find that everything has returned. I then go to add/remove programs and find that the viewpoint media player has reinstalled aswell.
I suppose the best option will be to get rid of the AOL software, what do you think?

Happy to hear it. Normally ViewpointKiller will remove it permanently without any problems!

Yes if you have another way to get online, I would dump AOL but that's your decision.
