Virtuemonde removal gone wrong

Hi all,

I have been trying to get rid of Virtuemonde for around a week now. I tried multiple forums and successfully got rid of most of the files. However, nnlih.exe and nnlih.dll persisted on all accounts. I tried to remove them from loading through their registry values, which I believe to have messed up my explorer.exe. current when Windows boots everything starts fine except the bottom toolbar (where Start is) does not load. FYI - This has made it impossible (?)for me to run the "Run" field as I cannot open from the start menu and my Thinkpad does not have the windows button so win+r did not work or other alternatives.

Perhaps you should start by using System Restore to go back to a point before you messed up your registry. Then we can help you remove your malware (instruction at the bottom of this message).

Also note you can get to a Run box from Task Manager. Just press CTRL-SHIFT-ESC and then select File, New Task (Run...).
