Virtumonde/Vundo infection -blank screen

    Hi following xp cleaning process using superantispyware and found 18 infections of vundo type. followed advice and on reboot pc boots to windows with black screen in normal,last known & safe.
    any advice ?

    Sorry to hear of your problem after running SAS. This sometimes happens due to how malware has hooked into your Windows operating system. Any application that was run first and started the removal of your infection may have resulted in the same issues.

    When you boot your PC, do you get the Windows Login screen? I'm assuming that you are actually booting up and logging in but have no Desktop. If this is the case, does CTRL-SHIFT-ESC bring up Task Manager? If that is not the case, how far into the boot process are you getting?

    Do you have your Windows XP bootable CD?
