    Hello all,
Hope this is the right forum. I have been using a new computer and have been transferring photos from my old one. I have just realised that everytime I connect my camera a virus generator is detected. I have formatted the card and the memory in the camera and it still turns up on my new computer. It's obviously in the camera.
Does anybody know how to get rid of this from my camera?
I don't have my old computer anymore and have changed the memory card as well, but still it persists.
    Thanks in advance.

    What operating system?

    What program is reporting this?

What is the "virus" that it is reporting?

If you think there is malware on your system:

Please follow the instructions in the below link and attach the requested logs when you finish these instructions.

If something does not run, write down the info to explain to us later but keep on going.

Do not assume that because one step does not work that they all will not.

READ & RUN ME FIRST. Malware Removal Guide

    Note:

    1. If you run into problems trying to run the READ & RUN ME or any of the scans in normal boot mode. You can running steps in safe boot mode but make sure you tell us what you did later when you post logs. See the below if you do not know how to boot in safe mode:

Starting your computer in Safe mode

    2. If you have problems downloading on the problem PC, download the tools on another PC and burn to a CD. Then copy them to the problem PC. You will have to skip getting updates if (and only if) your internet connection does not work. Yes you could use a flash drive too but flash drives are writeable and infections can spread to them.

Thanks for the reply. My new computer is not infected but everytime I connect the camera the Bullguard highlights this problem and deals with it. The problem I have now is that my Bullguard has expired, it was a 90 day trial with my new computer, and when I uninstalled Bullguard to install Avast, which I prefer, Avast didn't find anything. Also my DVD drive doesn't work yet Vista says it is fine. I did a system restore taking me back to before Avast, when Bullguard was installed, and everything works again, apart from Bullguard.

Windows Vista Home Premium 32 bit.

Bullguard finds it on my camera but prevents it infecting my computer.

Bullguard just shuts down when I try to open the quarantine section. This is an old ''virus'' which I found last October on my old computer (XP) and Avast dealt with it then.

I know my computer is fine but other people have access to my camera and I don't want to infect their systems.

This is not a malware issue....you already found that Avast has no problem with the camera, only Bulldog.

You need to seek assistance for this issue in the software forum.
