Virus has disabled my admin

I seemed to have launched a virus on my PC that has hijacked my admin rights.
I turn on the pc and it comes to a sign in screen - which it never did before - and gives me my name and an admin choice. I goto log in and it logs me right back out.

I have removed the HD and put it in an enclosure to get the files out that needed to be saved.

My Question: Can I run all the necessary virus scans and malware fixes that you suggest while it is still in the enclosure or do I have to have it piggy-backed to my old hard drive which I have running in the machine now?

    Thank you

Some of the logs will only generate the items on your C:\ drive, however you can run the virus scans and tools with the enclosure attached. Just make sure all programs are updated.
