You did not even install SUPERAntiSpyware and Malwarebytes! Why not?

Also you did not attach the requested log from ComboFix which we need to continue.

You also need to explain what problems you are having. Looks to me like you have possibly been experimenting with disabling services! Is this true?

Also run the below and attach the requested log.

    • Go to TDSSKiller and Download TDSSKiller.zip to your Desktop
    • Extract its contents to your Desktop so that you have TDSSKiller.exe directly on your Desktop and not in any subfolder of the Desktop.
    • Click Start > Run and copy/paste the following bold command into Run box and hit Enter.
    "%userprofile%\Desktop\TDSSKiller.exe" -l C:\TDSSKiller.txt -v

    • Follow the instructions to type in "delete" when it asks you what to do when if finds something.
    • When done, a log file should be created on your C: drive called "TDSSKiller.txt" please attach this log to your next reply.

    Thanks for responding Chaslang.

Here are the logs you requested. I also re-ran mgtools.

This is not my computer, but a friends I am working on. So far as I have seen the network card has completely disappeared and I can not make a new lan connection, the start menu is locked at the bottom of the screen as just a small grey bar, and I have made sure it is unlocked, yet I still can not drag it up to see anything. I can not drag and drop any files at all, and the start button does not work. I've been doing everything from the run button in task manager, and copying files through the command prompt.

As far as MB AntiMalware every time I try and run it it gives me a '372' error. With superantispyware, it tells me that Windows Installer is not working, and that I may be running it in safe mode (which I am not) or that it may be installed improperly or something like that, I tried looking in the group policy and everything seems fine there. It is just refusing to install.

I have not touched any services either.

    Thanks for your help.

(sorry I forgot to include the combofix log the first time. )

Download the current version of combofix.exe to your Desktop and do not rename it this time. Do not run it. We will run it a different way later.

Please delete the C:\6MGtools.exe file that you renamed since it is not necessary to rename this and we don't need this version anymore.

Run this Disable/Remove Windows Messenger to remove Windows Messenger. Do not confuse Windows Messenger with MSN Messenger because they are not the same. Windows Messenger is a frequent cause of popups.

    Uninstall the below software:
Ad-Aware SE Personal <-- way out of date and very ineffective
    J2SE Runtime Environment 5.0 Update 11
    J2SE Runtime Environment 5.0 Update 3
Viewpoint Media Player <-- should have been uninstalled in step 5 of the READ ME

Run C:\MGtools\analyse.exe by double clicking on it (Note: if using Vista, don't double click, use right click and select Run As Administrator). This is really HijackThis (select Do a system scan only) and select the following lines but DO NOT CLICK FIX until you exit all browser sessions including the one you are reading in right now:

    O4 - HKLM\..\Run: [NeroFilterCheck] C:\Program Files\Common Files\Ahead\Lib\NeroCheck.exe
    O4 - S-1-5-21-1659004503-1957994488-839522115-1003 Startup: scandisk.dll (User '?')
    O4 - S-1-5-21-1659004503-1957994488-839522115-1003 Startup: scandisk.lnk = ? (User '?')
    O4 - Startup: scandisk.dll
    O4 - Startup: scandisk.lnk = ?
    O9 - Extra button: Messenger - {FB5F1910-F110-11d2-BB9E-00C04F795683} - C:\Program Files\Messenger\msmsgs.exe (file missing)
    O9 - Extra 'Tools' menuitem: Windows Messenger - {FB5F1910-F110-11d2-BB9E-00C04F795683} - C:\Program Files\Messenger\msmsgs.exe (file missing)

    After clicking Fix, exit HJT.

Now we need to use ComboFix to remove a bunch of malware files.
    • Make sure that combofix.exe that you downloaded while doing the READ & RUN ME is on your Desktop but Do not run it!
      • If it is not on your Desktop, the below will not work.
    • Also make sure you have shut down all protection software (antivirus, antispyware...etc) or they may get in the way of allowing ComboFix to run properly.
    • If ComboFix tells you it has expired or need to be updated to a new version, make sure you allow it to update.
    • Open Notepad and copy/paste the text in the below quote box into it:
    • Save the above as CFscript.txt and make sure you save it to the same location (should be on your Desktop) as ComboFix.exe
    • At this point, you MUST EXIT ALL BROWSERS NOW before continuing!
    • You should have both the ComboFix.exe and CFScript.txt icons on your Desktop.
    • Now use your mouse to drag CFscript.txt on top of ComboFix.exe
    • Follow the prompts.
    • When it finishes, a log will be produced named c:\combofix.txt
    • I will ask for this log below
    Note:

Do not mouseclick combofix's window while it is running. That may cause it to stall.

After reboot, now install the current version of Sun Java from: Sun Java Runtime Environment

Now run Ccleaner. Only use the Run Cleaner button. Do not run anything else on any other forms.

Now download the current version of MGtools and save it to your root folder. Overwrite your previous MGtools.exe file with this one.

Run MGtools.exe ( Note: If using Vista make sure UAC is still disabled. Also don't double click on it, use right click and select Run As Administrator )

    Now attach the below log:
    • C:\ComboFix.txt
    • C:\MGlogs.zip
Make sure you tell me how things are working now!
