Virus help!

    So i got a new computer several weeks back and somehow a virus turned up on it the second day. I dont relaly know a whole hell of a lot about removing this type of thing, and ive been way too busy until now to work on it. The virus isn't completly crippling. I cant access the task manager. Control alt delete does absolutly nothing. I also get random pop ups by and by which is extremly annoying. I cant access the device manager either. When i try to access it tells me another program is using it. I ran notron a while back and it said it found something and fixed it... it didn't. Ive also run spybot and adaware and norton is safemode... they dont find anything. I dont knwo what to do! I want to avoid a format! Somebody please help me!

    Hi there,

    What you could start with is to follow our standard cleaning procedures which are necessary for us to provide you support. Also there are steps included for installing, running, and posting HijackThis logs as attachments.

    - Run ALL the steps in this Sticky thread READ & RUN ME FIRST Before Asking for Support

    Make sure you check version numbers and get all updates.


    After doing ALL of the above you still have a problem make sure you have booted to normal mode and run the steps in the below link to properly use HijackThis and attach a log:

    Downloading, Installing, and Running HijackThis


    When you return to make your next post, make sure you attach the following logs and that you have run these scans in the following order too (these scans are covered in steps 6 & 7 of the READ & RUN ME sticky)
    • Bitdefender
    • Panda Scan
    • HijackThis
    .

    DO follow these steps fully as they are layed out in a specific order, miss one and you may miss out on removing the virus, again if any steps cannot be followed do please let us know exactly what happened and any errors you gained.
