Virus is gone, but none of my programs work

I got a virus earlier so i performed a quick scan using SUPER Anti Spyware and it detected and deleted it.

I rebooted my computer and now none of my programs will open. When i click a file to open it, it gives me the screen to select a program to start it with. I browsed around and got firefox working but i can't get anything else to work. Everything as far as programs go keeps requesting me to select a program to start it with.

I can still open folders with pictures and songs without a problem.

The two files that were removed were:
Adware.Tracking Cookie
Trojan.Dropper/Gen-NV

Can anyone help me get my computer going again? As far as computers go, i'm not very handy so please help a non geek understand.

Go back into SAS and unquarantine everything it found. Then follow these instructions:
READ & RUN ME FIRST. Malware Removal Guide

And when you have the logs, start a new thread in the malware forum. ( You may wish to skip running SAS again.)

If that doesn't work, do this:
Download and Run exeHelper

Please download exeHelper to your desktop.

Double-click on exeHelper.com to run the fix.

A black window should pop up, press any key to close once the fix is completed.

Post the contents of log.txt (Will be created in the directory where you ran exeHelper.com)

Note: If the window shows a message that says "Error deleting file", please re-run the program before posting a log - and post the two logs together (they will both be in the one file).
