Virus/Malware? a mess

I've read the READ & RUN FIRST file. All tools have been downloaded and run with reports.

I have a Toshiba Satellite E105 64 bit, an Intel Core@Duo CPU running at 2.26GHz with 4G RAM. Computer is running slow, my internet keeps going out although everyone else in the house has it (nothing wrong with service or router since no one else has a problem), and I took it to OfficeMax where they scanned it and told me I had viruses and/or malware. I came on here to see if I could get rid of it myself; I'm up for anything once and know enough to be dangerous! Also, everything I've done has been in safe mode since I can't do anything in normal mode. I click on something and I'm stuck in a timer til I shut down and restart.

I've noticed the laptop running slow since maybe February... I took it into BestBuy, they had me restore the disk and reformat the hard drive. When they got it to service it, they said there was nothing wrong, but here I am with sporadic internet and a slllooooowwww computer.

Please help. At this point, I'm not opposed to taking it to a computer geek for service, but I would like to give this a shot.

    Thanks!! Margaret

I am not finding any malware in your logs. Which is surprising since you downloaded a crack:
    C:\Users\puttchen\Documents\My Downloaded Programs\Sure Cuts a Lot 1.016 + Crack\Sure Cuts a Lot 1.016 + Crack\crack\Sure Cuts A Lot.exe

All of your internet services are running and I don't see anything that could cause issues.

I suggest you post in the software forum for additional assistance.

Since you are not having any malware problems, it is time to do our final steps:

    1. We recommend you keep Malwarebytes Anti-Malware for scanning/removal of malware. You can uninstall RogueKiller and HitManPro.
    2. Go back to step 6 oof the READ ME and renable your Disk Emulation software with Defogger if you had disabled it.
    3. Any other miscellaneous tools we may have had you install or download can be uninstalled and deleted.
    4. If running Vista or Win 7, it is time to make sure you have reenabled UAC by double clicking on the C:\MGtools\enableUAC.reg file and allowing it to be added to the registry.
    5. Go to add/remove programs and uninstall HijackThis.
    6. Goto the C:\MGtools folder and find the MGclean.bat file. Double click on this file to run this cleanup program that will remove files and folders
related to MGtools and some other items from our cleaning procedures.
    7. After doing the above, you should work thru the below link:

Malware removal from a National Chain = $149
Malware removal from MajorGeeks = $0

Thanks so much Tim! I will do everything you say pronto! The guy at Office Max said that my programs (Windows Driver Package and Toshiba Face Recognition) were *way* larger than they should be which is how he came to the conclusion of virus AND malware.

Again, thank you so much. As long as I have guidance, I love doing this stuff myself. :) But when you have none, it's really hard. The last virus (on hubby's laptop) took me 3 days to get off. lol

    Have a good one!

PS - I thought that the Sure Cuts a Lot did show up as malware... Hmm, I don't know why I think that. But I really thought I saw something that said that somewhere.

Most "cracked" program downloads will often show up as malware. Best not to do that in the future.
