Virus/malware Trouble

    I suspect I have issues with my laptop. I have PC Matic and the supershield is frequently (on its own) turned off, and when I try to scan for problems there is always some error message and no action is capable of being taken. I have used the Major Geeks resource to clean up my computer in the past (in 2008 and I found it very effective) but obviously it has been a while. Please point me in the right direction on what I can do. Thanks so much.
