    Hi Major Geeks,

I just reinstalled my operating system, and I hooked up my WD ehd to get files off of it, and I received a message from Kaspersky saying there is a virus. Is there a way to remove this from the ehd? What should I do?

    A0008251.exe C:\System Volume Information\_restore{6D5BCF46-2B86-433C-8AC1-CA33593B19F5}\RP53\ 9/9/2013 12:11:16 AM Net-Worm.Win32.Kolabc.ixm
    Paint Shop Pro Studio.exe C:\Program Files\Jasc Software Inc\Paint Shop Pro Studio\ 9/8/2013 7:15:05 PM Net-Worm.Win32.Kolabc.ixm

    Thank you!

Will Kaspersky not remove it? You should just have the external plugged in whilst you run a scan with Malware Bytes and see if it removes anything.

What has been flagged should be easy enough to deal with - the folder it says is infected can just be deleted, and the other threat found is in system restore, so RP's can be flushed once you're running.

Thank you Kestrel13! I deleted the files and ran the scan, it came back clean.
