Virus on new PC

    Hi, I have a new pc with windows 7 64 bit. All I have used it for so far is installing avast free, firefox 4, a couple of games and updating windows.

    Yesterday when I booted it up nothing would work. Most programs fail to load including avast and I get 0xc0000006 errors. Also most webpages fail to load so I'm writing this on my laptop.

    I've run through the read & run me section and I encountered a few problem:
    Superantispyware found and cleaned 29 adware threats.
    Malwarebytes wont open I get Run time error 440
    When I ran combofix I got a bunch of pop ups saying PEV.cfxxe and pev.exe have stopped working. Combofix also closed after stage completed 48 of scanning and didn't generate a log.
    I was able to get MGtools to work and I have attached the log

    My review of your logs found malware not to be the cause of your problems, and that you should post in our Software Forum for help resolving them.
