    Hello,

I am currently in Thailand trying to upload some photos to Facebook via a card reader in an internet cafe. The photos have been whipped from the card but have been uploaded onto the card reader. I'm not able to view the pictures as they just show as files. When I have uploaded them to dropbox they can't be downloaded as they are seen as 'Malicious'. Any advice as to how to sort the problem would be amazing. Otherwise I have lost all my photos :(

    Thanks

    Alex

First big mistake. PCs that are anywhere but in your own home or office cannot be trusted to be clean.

Did you mean wiped from the card? If so,why didn't you copy them instead of moving them?

Possibly because they do not have an application installed to allow viewing of image files. Thus the file extension would not be recognized or associated to an application to view them.

You uploaded them here from the Internet Cafe PC? What is the file extension that is seen on the files? What are you trying to download them to?

Possibly or possibly you can just rename them to something with a .txt file extension and then download them to another PC. You would have to then rename them back to .jpg or whatever they are supposed to be named thought.
