Virus or Malware?

Are you able to download that ok? Do you actually have any malware issues or just asking for opinions on antiviral software?

Well I will start off with there is no one best Antivirus software, while most are good they are only part of the issue with PC safety, the main bits are

• Keep Windows and all your software up to date always.
• Safe surf and download from well respected download sites such as Majorgeeks.
• Do not use P2P as not all that glitters is gold.

Use a combination of security softwares that do small different things, use Spywareblaster to stop known issue sites from infecting your PC, use a good known Antivirus (but only download it from known download sites such as Majorgeeks or the original software makers site)

Good ones are (no particular order)

• AVG Free
• AVAST Free
• Microsoft Security Essentials (Free)
• Panda Cloud (Free)

Note all are free versions and that are all you really need.

What Windows version and Service Pack are you using?

Always best to start with removing all Antivirus software as some can conflict and then install your chosen one after the cleanup.

If you have a unwanted software app then try either of both of these apps to remove it, Windows Installer Cleanup Untility or Revo Uninstaller

then run CCLeaner and its Cleaner and they Registry option and run the registry one until nothing needs cleaning then Install your chosen Antivirus.
