    Hello,

    My friend was recently surfing the web, and I believe she stated she was also listening to music videos, possibly youtube, when she downloaded a virus that locked up the browser then flashed a large white java across the screen. when she closed the screen, she advises there were at least 20 small java icons on the taskbar. Black screen popped up and the FBI screen came up, and you couldnt close the screen. She then hard booted the lap top, and then windows wouldnt load. Ive tried to remove the virus following chaslangs threat to the letter. but I still cant turn on the windows firewall and i cant run windows defender either, so there must still be some sort of virus still on there. ive attached the log files chaslang requested.

    1. Re run Hitman Pro and have it delete Malware remnants, and Potential Unwanted Programs.

    2.

    http://img805.imageshack.us/img805/9659/rktigzy.gif Fix items using RogueKiller.

    Double-click RogueKiller.exe to run. (Vista/7 right-click and select Run as Administrator)
    When it opens, press the Scan button
    Now click the Registry tab and locate these 3 detections:

    • [RUN][SUSP PATH] HKCU\[...]\RunOnce : SpUninstallDeleteDir (rmdir /s /q "C:\Users\Curtis\AppData\Roaming\SearchProtect" [x]) -> FOUND
    • [RUN][SUSP PATH] HKUS\S-1-5-21-2759405613-2765855290-2782468126-1000\[...]\RunOnce : SpUninstallDeleteDir (rmdir /s /q "C:\Users\Curtis\AppData\Roaming\SearchProtect" [x]) -> FOUND
    • [PROXY IE] HKLM\[...]\Internet Settings : ProxyServer (hxxp=127.0.0.1:8118) -> FOUND

    Place a checkmark each of these items, leave the others unchecked.
    Now press the Delete button.

    ...and the same for these items on the file/folder tab.

    • [ZeroAccess][File] Desktop.ini : C:\Windows\assembly\GAC\Desktop.ini [-] --> FOUND
    • [ZeroAccess][Junction] en-US : C:\Program Files\Windows Defender\en-US >> \systemroot\system32\config [-] --> FOUND
    • [ZeroAccess][Folder] Install : C:\Users\Curtis\AppData\Local\Google\Desktop\Install [-] --> FOUND
    • [ZeroAccess][Folder] Install : C:\Program Files\Google\Desktop\Install [-] --> FOUND

    When it is finished, there will be a log on your desktop called: RKreport[2].txt
    Attach RKreport[2].txt to your next message. (How to attach)
    Reboot the machine.

    3. Download and run OTM.

    Download OTM by Old Timer and save it to your Desktop.

    Code:
    :reg
    [-HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Microsoft\Internet Explorer\SearchScopes\{09971cee-01b8-42bc-9d91-456b1faad6be}]
    [-HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Microsoft\Internet Explorer\SearchScopes\{83466BAB-5D79-4670-B0A9-BF6D5826C53A}]
    [-HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Microsoft\Internet Explorer\SearchScopes\{AFBCB7E0-F91A-4951-9F31-58FEE57A25C4}]
    [-HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Internet Explorer\SearchScopes\{AFBCB7E0-F91A-4951-9F31-58FEE57A25C4}]
    [-HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Internet Explorer\SearchScopes\{11485C18-1881-486C-8E76-E133B335A375}]
    [-HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Internet Explorer\SearchScopes\{B22F9173-46B8-426C-9C13-598619EB5300}]

    :files
    C:\Users\Curtis\AppData\Roaming\SearchProtect
    C:\Windows\System32\2dbf~1
    C:\Users\Curtis\AppData\Local\c902BcA7i
    C:\Users\Curtis\AppData\Local\UWaTS5794
    C:\Users\Curtis\AppData\Roaming\DaDU6YFHjBP
    C:\ProgramData\484dYKS1i9
    C:\Program Files\Conduit
    C:\Program Files\Optimizer Pro

    :Commands
    [emptytemp]
    [Reboot]
    • Return to OTM, right click in the Paste List of Files/Folders to Move window (under the yellow bar) and choose Paste.
    • Push the large http://farm3.static.flickr.com/2782/4174320048_f01c448b32_o.png button.
    • OTM may ask to reboot the machine. Please do so if asked.
    • Copy everything in the Results window (under the green bar), and paste it into notepad, save it as something appropriate and attach it into your next reply.

    NOTE: If you are unable to copy/paste from this window (as will be the case if the machine was rebooted), open Notepad (Start->All Programs->Accessories->Notepad), click File->Open, in the File Name box enter *.log and press the Enter key, navigate to the C:\_OTM\MovedFiles folder, and open the newest .log file present, and attach the contents of that document back here in your next post.

    4. JRT

    http://imageshack.us/a/img841/7292/thisisujrt.gif Please download Junkware Removal Tool to your desktop.
    • Shut down your protection software now to avoid potential conflicts.
    • Run the tool by double-clicking it. If you are using Windows Vista or Seven, right-mouse click it and select Run as Administrator.
    • The tool will open and start scanning your system.
    • Please be patient as this can take a while to complete depending on your system's specifications.
    • On completion, a log (JRT.txt) is saved to your desktop and will automatically open.
    • Attach JRT.txt to your next message.

    5. Download Windows Repair by Tweaking.com and unzip the contents into a newly created folder on your desktop.
    • Now run Repair_Windows.exe by double clicking on it ( if you are running Vista or Win 7, use right click and select Run As Administrator)
    • Now select the Start Repairs tab.
    • The click the Start button.
    • Create a System Restore point if prompted.
    • On the next screen, click the Unselect All button to first deselect all repairs.
    • Now select the following repair options:
      • Reset Registry Permissions
      • Reset File Permissions
      • Register System Files
      • Repair WMI
      • Repair Windows Firewall
      • Remove Policies Set By Infections
      • Repair Winsock & DNS Cache
      • Repair Proxy Settings
      • Repair Windows Updates
      • Set Windows Services To Default Startup
    • Now on the lower right side check the box to Restart/Shutdown System When Finished
    • Then make sure the Restart System radio button is enabled.
    • Shutdown any other programs that you are running now before continuing.
    • Now click the Start button.
    • Be patient while the tool repairs the selected items.
    • It should reboot automatically when finished.

    After reboot, check to see if your firewall is working.

    6. Re run Malware Bytes and attach the log from that also.
    7. Re run RogueKiller (just a scan) and attach log.

    8. Now run the C:\MGtools\GetLogs.bat file by double clicking on it. (Right click and run as admin if using Vista, Windows7 or Win8) Then attach the new C:\MGlogs.zip file that will be created by running this.

    9. Let me know of any problems you may have encountered with the above instructions and also let me know how things are running now!
