I work alot with video, and clicked on an Active X control earlier that has attached something to my browser.

    I get the following message.

    Microsoft Internet Explorer

Notice: Your system is infected and your computer performance is not at the highest level. Full system optimization will greatly increase your computer's performance and prevent data loss.

Download antispyware to clean your computer and to increase the safety of your computer. (Recommended)

I recently installed a hard drive in the this computer and am wondering...Should I go through the anti-virus suspicious program battle, or do I just restore the system, reinitialize the drive and start over.

    Hi HDHardhead,

If this is a malware issue, then you can go through our malware removal procedures and have it removed or you can do a clean install. However, if this is a warning from Internet Explorer, it may be due to a setting, and in that case, you will simply run into the same problem again after a clean install. It would be better for you to first check your IE settings to see if you may have them set to prompt with regard to Active X installations.
