virus, threats and infections help!

My laptop is so screwed I need major help!!!! (DELL XPS)

Okay, first off when I turn it on I automatically get warnings that I have Potential Errors found in the system. During a scan of files at system startup, potential errors in the system registry were found.....

Then another one pops up that says: could become unstable. A potential problem has been detected and Windows has been shutdown buggy application to prevent damages to your computer....

My computer is running slow and takes like 20 minutes for the startup menu to even open. It's hard for me to open anything!! I know I have like 70 programs running?? and somehow I have all these files popping up that won't let me delete them. I bought Norton 360 three days ago, but I can't install it because it says I currently have something else trying to install??? I did try to use the Spyware doctor and it got up to 22% and it was showing 11 threats and almost 350 infections found and THEN my whole computer froze up before it could complete. I am currently using another computer to ask for help!!! I had LimeWire and I uninstalled that thinking that's what caused my problems, but what should I do at this point???
