   AVG caught a virus in an email and placed it in the vault.
   
   What happens when I empty the vault ~ where does it go?
   
   I also have an option to open the vault. Would that mean the virus would get out .

   When you empty the virus vault it is deleted from the HD.
   
   You you open the virus vault the virus won't get out.
