Every time Microsoft security essentials runs a scan it comes up with this:

My laptop has been acting odd, redirects to all kinds of sites, freezing at reboot. After running my antivirus upon reboot I often have to restart 7-10 times before I can get to the log in screen without my computer freezing on a blank black screen. Started running through the pre-post conditions. I already had most of the software, Ccleaner runs at every start up. Unistalled and updated Java. Superanti-spyware comes up clean. Malwarebytes came up clean. Combofix says it was downloaded incorrectly, re-downloaded several times to no avail. And RootRepeal freezes up when I tried to run it. Where do I go from here? As always any help is greatly appreciated.

 

thanks, ill run over them again and attach the logs even if they show no malware. You helped me a year ago on my work computer, and were a god. Im in good hands. I'll run all diagnostics tomorrow and attach all logs. What should I do about programs(combofix, rootrepeal, that wont work) and everytime I run my security essentials antivirus software and I find the same win32 infection, the reboot process to delete that infection always freezes during reboot. By no means am i computer stupid, but am far from computer smart: i will run all processes again with updated virus def. and attach logs just to make sure you have all the info you need. Point to note: I ran combofix via instructions from another malware forum about 6 months ago issued advice from a senior user(geeks to go), and my computer has never been quite the same. There are lines that rund down the screen of empty pixels, but all in all It runs very well, quick, except during startup and anytime any malware program runs and reboots, the computer always freezes before I even get to the windows screen. Also the redirects online constantly. I have to remove the battery, and try several times to get a start up. Not blaming the experts from the other site, I know combofix can cause issues. Once again, i dont think you guys know how much you help people. Until next time.
