About a week ago, I was browsing on Firefox looking for a way to download 3.0 software on a ipod touch 1st generation because itunes wouldn't allow it. That night, I got attacked. I did not download anything, and was merely browsing. Soon after, I got programs auto installed that were from the virus. I didn't know what to do, so I installed malwarebytes, it found 40 threats, and I quarantined them. My computer was getting better. Then, last night the virus wasn't allowing me to use Firefox or Internet explorer, but I was still able to use AIM and I was able to ping websites, I knew it was the virus. After talking to a friend, I was directed here, and I followed all the steps as instructed in the read me. Here are the attached files. I would appreciate any help. The internet is back for now, but it is fairly slow, and takes a long time to boot pages.

    Did you set this:
    R1 - HKCU\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Internet Settings,ProxyServer = http=127.0.0.1:5577

If not, then here are the instructions for re-setting your proxy settings:
    Change Proxy Settings.

Also, use windows explorer to find and delete:
    C:\Documents and Settings\Matthew\Local Settings\Application Data\cigytwamg

Tell me what issues you are still having.
