what do you think was the worst virus ever, and why?

 

I'll tell you what the most fun one was for me:

That blaster thing. Why? Because I caught it. Why? Because I FINALLY had access to a computer so that I could catch one. It got me too, good.

They say this W32.MyDoom thing is spreading faster than anything else, don't they,

But I guess its not too destructive...

i always seem to get the least destructive virus's but they are always really hard to get rid of. but i dont know, i think its just my luck.

 

IMO, backdoor.lala.

Stupid virus caught me off guard. It was attached to a jpg. Figure that one out

I got it the day it was discovered by Sarc.

Nobody could cure it

I knew I caught a virus when NAV scanned and reported clean the email that was sent out by the operator on the other end.

20 emails fired right off the bat without a mail program open tends to catch your attention.

 

The flu of '91. I was puking for days and then my head exploded.

 

klez, ruined entire networks, ook down a PDC at a customer's site. No accounting for the end user opening emails you tell them not to. Then leaving the network up after ou tell them to unplug it becuase they needed to get work done (that's how the PDC got hammered)

 

I had that one on my machine early last year... It was a bitch to get clean.

 

klez...we somehow (stinking students and kazaa) got it on the network i was running at the school i worked for at the time. i went down and attached itself on the server. that was fun. i had the whole network off while we went around to every computer in the school and ran the cleaner. that was the last virus we ever had.

oh yeah, we still get a few machines every week with klez. pretty sad that people don't update their antivirus for years. I'm partial to the dirt old Mcafee that I see on 4 year old HP's
