    Welcome to Major Geeks!

It is quite possible that this has nothing to do with malware and only has to do with User Account Control ( aka UAC ) checking to make sure you should be running what you are trying to run. So are you referring to a UAC popup? And what programs are you having problems running? If it is just problems with UAC, you really belong in the Software Forum.

If it is not UAC, it may be that you just need to do the below.
    • Right-click the program you are trying to run
    • Select Properties
    • Select the Security tab
    • To change Permissions click the Edit button. Note UAC may popup asking for your permission to continue. Click Continue
    • Add your user account to the Group or User Name list.
    • If your account is already there, just continue.
    • Make sure you check Full Control when your user account is selected.
    • Then click Apply, OK. And OK your way back out.
You also have to understand that being a member of the administrator group is not the same thing as running as the Administrator which is a special user account that has elevated priviledges. Sometimes you may need to use the Run As Administrator feature to run a program.

that is the problem someone else has hacked into the pc i think and taken control as the administrator. I have no access it says under UAC . I cant change anything , said it has to be run passed the administrator for approval, i just got the pc two months ago....with no coverage and now i am stuck. I try to change things and it tells me permission denied. my mouse jumps all over the place when i am not using it and that is why i think i have a hacker. i did a system restore with the disc i ordered and no luck there. i think this hacker is in my root system ......please advise :)

If you did a System Restore and still have a problem then I doubt your problem is malware. It still sounds more like you have a misunderstanding of how Vista works and what UAC does. Please run the instructions in this Using MGtools make sure you follow the instructions exactly to get UAC disabled and you must reboot after disabling UAC. Also ignore the popup icon in the tray after reboot warning you about UAC being disabled. Then run the C:\MGtools\GetLogs.bat file by right clicking on it and select Run As Administrator. Wait for it to finish running. Then attach the C:\MGlogs.zip file that will be created. See: HOW TO: Attach Items To Your Post

The above GetLogs.bat program and what it trys to run will not really run properly on your x64 version of Windows but it may give me a little useful information.

Now run the the below procedure which will work on x64:

    SUPERAntiSpyware - running & getting a log

alright i did reload windows again and it says at boot up GETuser id, and that a partition is being built. then i see a window saying administrator pop up and then a blank screen for about 15 mins, then when it does load up, i dont have control over my mouse anymore, cant open certain files or dowload a darn thing still, i think there is a hacker still on my pc in the root files, how do i get rid of this annoyance? please advise

Unless you attempt to follow the instructions given in the READ & RUN ME sticky thread (yes only certain things will work on x64) we cannot help you. I ask you to run SUPERAntiSpyware and MGtools a couple times now. It is quite simple...no logs, no help since we cannot guess what is going on. Your alternative is to delete partitions, recreate partitions, format and reinstall.

Since you did a System Restore at some point, I would guess that your problems may not be malware even though it is possible that some malware may exist. It is more likely that you have either registry corruption or something during your restore has messed up registry settings that are affecting user account permissions.
