    I do not get the option to enable transparent glass effects in Windows Vista.
    Somebody Help.

    Is it not on by default? Any release of Vista I've played with has it on by default.
    However, I've also always had a video card that would support it. See this Microsoft KB titled, You may not have the option to enable transparent glass effects in Windows Vista for a resolution if you do not have such a video card.

    See this link for the usual procedure for enabling/disabling this effect.

    Some versions don't even ship with it enabled.

    The Home Basic edition does not support it at all, the rest do. Anyways this moot as it hasn't been released yet.

    Yes, of course. Two weeks left. :) I doubt the member has an RTM from MS but who knows?
