I am so frustrated. I can't even figure out under what circumstances this happens, but if I somehow click in the wrong place, my window will automatically minimize (Vista). It is driving me crazy. It seems to often be when I click on the scrollbar or up near the top of the window, but I can't make it happen on purpose or figure out exactly what is going on. I saw another old thread on this, but no answers. I have searched the Internet to no avail. It is really making me crazy. If anyone has any ideas, I would love to hear them (Toshiba laptop).

Do you use the touchpad? If so, turn it off and try a mouse to see if this is the problem.

    Or...

go in to the touchpad properties and turn the zones off, or check the property settings to see if maybe a tap setting is for minimizing the screen.
