First Impressions
Really pleased its no slouch. Turned it on ready to run straight out of the box.
LAN/Internet connection straight on no problem I'm typing this on it right now.

The Studio T network has 1 win98(P1), 2x Win2000(P3), 2x win XP(P4) and now this Vista.

Most of the work is done on the W2000 machines as they are much quicker and more stable than the XP. In fact I only use the XP & Vista for test and to run any advice first.

I wasn't aware there was a dual core clocked at 4.0Ghz yet. Did you mean 2.0Ghz @ two cores?

...And there I was nearly going to trade my AMD64 X2 6000 @ 3GHz for it.

(Before you say anything, yeah I'm kidding!)

That's a pretty good price for a basic 2Ghz dual-core setup.

With Office 2007? A trial version surely, as it costs about that much to buy Office on it's own. And pre VAT/shipping prices are slightly misleading - it's £311 with shipping.

They do have some tempting offers though, and I get their flyer delivered every month

I build them myself, so I only look at the systems out of curiosity, but I have had some nice bargain peripherals in the past, including some Nvidia cards with built in TV for £15 which were perfect for some XP MCE systems I was building at the time

 

I got Office 2007 Ultimate for 60 bucks, USD.
