Vista - CPU running at 55-60% always

    Tried Vista cleaning procedure but still have problems. When restarting computer it locks up saying configuring updates. Have to turn off computer to restart. When re-starting it says installing updates 1 of 3....

    This does not appear to be a malware issue. You need to post in the software section. You should first try disabling your firewall and disabling TeaTimer!

    Then go to start / run / type:
    services.msc
    When that window opens, scroll down to Cryptography Services and see it that is running and set to auto.
    Tell me what you find.

    Any .exe files will not work as well, which made me suspect a malware issue. I cannot get into the RUN command. Any ideas?
