I have just had a new C drive fitted to my computer with Windows 7 installed on it. The old drive is still in the computer, which was the Vista disc. Does anyone know where Vista stores it's e-mail information, address book, folders, etc? and is it an easy matter to get them installed in the Windows 7 e-mail program. When I use the Import button the system only looks on drive C:\.

    Hi

Majority of the folders are in C:\Users\[your user name] the Address Book is now Contacts folder, but what email application are you using?

If Windows Mail then the location of the email folder is in a hidden one at this location C:\Users\[your user name]\AppData\Local\Microsoft\Windows Mail

To be honest it would have been much easier to export the email and contacts before swapping the drive, so maybe an idea to boot back to the Vista installed HDD and export the mail settings, emails and contacts

Export Contacts and backup of email messages in Windows Mail

or run this Windows Easy Transfer as this is what I used to transfer settings etc from Vista to Windows 7, you just choose the data you want to transfer, can choose all or leave some out.
