vista fails to boot after latest update

Hi Geeks
Updated vista while shutting down 12 july.On start up it just hangs on ms loading screen.tried start up using safe mode, loading from last good configuration same result.My rescue disc doesnt give me the option to repair just reinstail.Im running vista home premium.Any ideas?

 

folwlcon, have you tried a system restore ??

 

Cant get windows to load in any form so unless I can do a system restore from bios or get some kind of command prompt before windows starts to load then the answer is I cant.

 

fowlcon, are you able to use another computer ?? If so download and burn this to a cd, this will boot your pc and includes tools to repair your computer.
