Vista freezing after boot - RAID Access Failure

The other day my computer kept on shutting off due to overheating (BIOS said it was running at 80C idle) so I cleaned out my computer and put some more thermal grease on the back end of my fan.
Ever since I've done that Vista freezes after booting every time without fail after I click on anything.
After waiting for Vista to unfreeze a tray icon appears saying I have a RAID Access Failure and I'm not sure what to do about this.
The same happens in safe mode and I can't do a system restore because for some reason I have no restore points.

Any suggestions would be great at this point!

 

Can you double check to see if you reseated the heatsink properly?

The memory test came back with 0 errors after 1 pass.

About the heatsink, it was fully secure but I checked the thermal grease and it seems I put a bit too much on and it's kinda overflowed. I'm going to clean it up as much as possible and come back with the results.

 

Yeah I cleaned up the heatsink bit and attatched it back securely but Vista still freezes after booting.

One odd thing I have noticed is that the only thing that seems to be freezing my computer is the firefox shortcut on my taskbar. Other program shortcuts next to it load fine and I can close (Sony Vegas 9, Itunes).
Naturally it's one of the first programs I run so it might just be a problem with firefox itself, I'll try uninstalling and seeing what happens.
