Vista + Game = Lag?

Recently upgraded to windows vista,

theme: windows vista/aero

Games hate it confused


so i have to change "adjust for best performace" and get windows "classic"

i dont really mind doing this but it does get annoying
then again "lag" in games is even more annoying.


is there any "shortcut" to change between "adjust for best performace" and Windows aero "graphics" without going threw all the options,

im just looking for an instant change (1 click or somthing)

What are your system specs?

 

If I remember correctly, Vista turns off Aero automatically when you run a game for best performance. Your issues are most likely do to inadequate driver support as the operating system has not been officially released yet. In the moths ahead video card drivers will get better, but right now, they are not that great. Are you using RC1/2, RTM?

 

i dont know what version,
ive had it legally installed and registered for about 20 days
(university are in partnership with microsoft, so i get it free for uni)

Graphics Card - RADEON EAX1300PRO

windows vista rating of 4.1


yeah it use to auto change themes, but it doesnt during in-game, and if it isnt classic theme it will lag horrible.


i was just looking for a quick fix
