After this PC (Dell Inspiron 531, 3GB RAM, 250GB Hard Drive) froze-up last night upon Log-off/Shut-down, I knew not what else to do (after several attempts with Ctrl/Alt/Delete) but to force the shut-down (hard shut-down).

Upon reboot, I ran a "System Health Report" (screenshots), and, well...doesn't appear too "well", to me, yet I am unsure what to do about any of it.

    Any "Healthy" suggestions?

    Thanks in advance,
    glenn...
PS - the first message I am probably fine with, as I have long ago turned-off a few Services, per Black-Vipers Vista Safe or "Tweaked" modes).

The second attached thumbnail says in 2 different parts that there is no AV on your system, so check that out first, and if you do have an AV , make sure its running to the max !

We "do" have an AV ... avast-free (and "maxed") ... my take (guess?) is that avast is stealthy-enough to blind Vista ... (hoping someone will straighten me out on that ?).
