As someone who has used MG to help ward off malware I was wondering if the how to protect yourself from malware thread was going to be updated to/for Vista recommendations? I was trying to install the normall firewalls/AV programs off the thread and found a couple that weren't VIsta complient.
Thanks for all you have done and Thanks in advance for any recommendations of freeware that will work with Vista!!!

The thread is somewhat generic and points to software that has info on the download pages indicating which OS's are supported. Short of making a list of what applications support which OS (which we have started to do on the side as we get time to test them) this may be how things remain. Basically Vista support is very limited especially in free tools. Comodo and ZoneAlarm are the only firewalls that specifically say they support Vista.

AVG Free and PC Tools AntiVirus support Vista.

Here is a list of a bunch of tools we know that support Vista. The version numbers were what we tested at the time. I would expect any version number higher would also work.
