Vista Media Center Remote

I just started using Vista 64 media center and would like to use My remote to switch between programs

For Example While In VMC I want so when I hit the red button it minimizes VMC and switches to Boxee or XBMC in full screen and when I hit the green button it minimizes Boxee or XBMC and puts VMC full screen again

But I want all the other remote functions to work normally while in VMC or Boxee

How would I go about doing this major:confused

Forgot to mention I am using The Media Center Remote that came with my Hauppauge Win-TV PVR 1800
seams like a General Media center remote (run of the mill nothing special)
