Vista SP2 install disc

I need to create a Vista SP2 install disc; I have a full Vista SP1 disc and I was hoping to slipstream SP2 into it. Can this be done in more-or-less the same way as with XP??? I need an SP2 disc 'cuz of a problem I'm having (see this thread) and for some reason I'm being told my Vista SP1 disc is not the same OS as installed on the PC (it has Vista SP2 installed).

Hmm, I'm sure you can google better than I. The method linked is quite convoluted but works and you should have no issues with it. Don't ask me for details though as it's been a while. I really should take notes.:innocent

 

LOL Possibly, but I really didn't feel like doing my own research 'cuz I'm too freakin lazy! LOL I was hoping for a good, concise guide, but the link you provided is fine, convoluted or not.... Thanks!

 

:eek "Convoluted" is an understatement!!! roflmao After looking through those steps, I decided I'll try to find a different route. Their instructions require me install Vista to a new partition (???) and to acquire a full paid registered version of UltraISO (???), then I need to run the various Vista Service Pack Cleanup Tools (???) and then do some stuff via the command prompt. Whoa. A bit too much for this MG. LOL Thanks anyway though, don't feel bad, you didn't create that whacked-out "guide"! And I'm using the term "guide" very loosely!! LOL LOL
