Vista sp2 installation problems!

i can only run my pc in safe mode, due to other problems on my pc.

when installing sp2, it comes up with the error code 80070005

it says something like av software may be getting in the way, but as im in safe mode, nothing is running!

ive tried some fixes, but none that i have found work whilst in safe mode!

Its been going on for a while now, but basically... im a bit of a newbie when it comes to software!

I have recently installed a new cpu and mobo, i am using an oem version of vista from the pc that i bought previously (acer m1641)

i just put the new cpu (amd 620 quad) and mobo asus (m4a78-e) into a new case along with old hdd, ram etc.

and booted, put in the old OEM vista activation code and everything seemed to be ok!

but then around 5 days later...

after say, 30 seconds after booting into windows everything freezes.

I can as said before still boot into safe mode.

I took the psu into a repair shop thinking it was that, they said it was fine.

So how do i install these new drivers if they are needed, there are many to choose from the asus website ie chipset, audio video etc...
