Running Vista home premium on a Dell Inspiron E1505 Sigmatel soundcard

The latest Vista update wipes out the sound card drivers. they have included IDT Hi Def Audio Codec, which completely wipes out your sound. You get the error code 10 when you try to access sound. It just says 'no playback devices installed.
The way to fix this is simply go to Dell website and search for R173209 , and install this driver. This will fix the sound card issues.

No thanks to both Dell and Microsoft - MS updates kill the sound and the driver is listed under a wrong category on the Dell site - just go in and do a search for R173209.
