vista update

I have read the other vista update problems and I just ran the new orbit Malware removable tool and it didnt find anything. Is their a way to do this manual. I have went to the windows site and ran their check for geniue windows and passed it okay. I have the auto update and finally got to the check up date status and it said my vista hasnt been updated since 2009. any help thanks for the great site and I have been checking site and telling friends for years. great

I'm having trouble following your post. Is your problem that you have not been able to update Vista since 2009?

this is right I have not been able to update the vista program on my computer since 2009. I have the program set to up date and install at 3:00am and a lot of times when I check my compter or use it it is downloading still or trying to install. any help would be appreciated thanks

First, update the windows updater in case that is the problem.

There is a catalog where you can manually update but this computer doesn't want to show me anything. It says I need to update IE. It thinks I'm running 6 when in fact I'm running v8!!! I'll need to fire up a different computer later and see if I have better luck on it getting to the catalog.
