On today's downloads, there is a file for Vista updates.

I am wondering if I am running Vista, if they will download automatically? And, if they do, is that ok, or should I turn off automatic updates, and do them myself>? To make sure they are ok on my machine?
    Hope this makes sense.

Easy to let Vista download and install them, its pretty good at installing updates.

What you could do is to adjust the Auto Update settings a bit, so that they download, it alerts you and then your given a list of the updates and the choice to install them that way you know they installed as you can also click, View Update History.

To adjust Auto Update, click the Start Globe, and in the Start Seach box type update windows update will be top entry, so click to open.

Then click Change Settings > and choose Download Updates but lets me choose wether to install them > OK

But TBH, Autoupdate works well, and I've had no issues with it, plus you can check the update history.
