ok i have a PC Pentium 2.4c, 640 mb ram, nvidia 5500fx agp card, avertv tv card and one 80gb pata hd and a 120 sata hd.

i loaded my pc with vista ultimate and i worked fine for over one month, over that time my 3d card fan got busted and my computer frezeed when ever i played game. after i figer out the problem i stopped playing any games and put a table fan in from of it. but my vista started to give crap

i take about 20-30 min to boot. The boot scroll on and on. in safe mode boot progress stops while loading agp440.sys for a long time.

    any idea is appreciated.

    thank in advance.

So you're saying that you currently don't have a working video card fan (or good heatsink) on your video card? Just blowing a regular fan on it isn't going to work too well.

You may cause much more damage to your system if/when your video card overheats or melts.

thanks for the replay. i have a heat sink on the card. and the caseing is open in one side and i have a table fan directly blowing in to it.

    i hope its dost melt.

if it does will it any way effect the other components like mother board.

and wat can be done about my vista.

ohh i tried to use my built agp card but boot time did'nt improve.
