Vista & WMP

hi, is there anyway to stop windows media player from loading? i use a program to kill this process and it keeps coming back like a bad penny as my dad would say.

 

ok will check that out but i noticed a little word you used.. "should" stop..LOL.. but let me throw this out there too.. i have not watched video on my pc in a few weeks and wmp still launches in the process list.

 

i think we are getting into a problem with the word launching?

it doesnt launch but is a process continually running..

i use kill process (a program i found here) to kill it but it keeps coming back running.

 

i have also used ccleaner to stop the process but again it keeps coming back.

 

is it starting from your startup folder? or is it listed in msconfig? i actually like winpatrol, as you can edit your startup programs, delay them and/or remove them from the startup list.

anyway, i'm kinda confused (i used to have a vista comp, but i sold it). they say your not crazy to talk to yourself, but if your start answering yourself. j/k

your saying it doesn't startup, but it's using resources? - sos
