K i am stumped here: I am trying to open up the system properties located in control panel. I can open control panel but I can't open network connections or system properties or anything located inside the control panel i tried to do this

shell "control panel" <--- This worked
    shell "Network Connections" <----Didn't work

I also tried to do this
shell "control panel\network connections" But that didn't work either.

Can you please tell me how to link someplace onto my computer like system properties and network connections

The applets within Control Panel are not your standard .exe files. They are *.cpl files. When lauched from Control Panel they operate under "Rundll32.exe. There are a few exeptions like user accounts, that can be shelled as mshta.exe. I know that's not much but I hope it helped a little.
