VK2si8mF.exe

I keep getting a windows XP error saying failure to run that. It does it every 10-15 minutes or so. Im not sure if its a virus, so ive been running a virus scan. Any ideas?

 

Click on Start, Run and type msconfig. Uncheck everything you don't need, and ofcours this file. If you don't what to uncheck, post a Screenshoot ( Print Screen) here, and I will help you. Cheers, LK.

 

I do not agree with you. CCleaner will probbably not solve this problem.

I forgot to sad for Startup tab.

 

I think the reason this file is not returning any Google results is because it's malware; it is one of those viruses that is a random string of letters and you can't expect Google to have any info on a random string. Follow the link above to the malware forum's "read me" and follow the steps exactly as they are described. If the problem persists, post in that forum and of of the experts over there help until they give it a clean thumb's up. Then post over here once you know for sure that it's clean.

 

Ok, ive uploaded the picture of the error ive been getting. You can look and see ive also gotten it a significant number of times and that was about in 20 minutes. Also, the exe is not in msconfig. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks

 

I agree that it's likely malware. You should go to the Malware Forum here on MG and carefully and methodically follow the instructions in the Read & Run Me First sticky thread, INCLUDING starting a thread in that forum and attaching your logs (I believe it's a total of 5 logs, so you'll need to make 2 posts, since you can only attach a maximum of 3 logs per post).
