Volume Glitch

    My volume keeps lowering itself to zero all by itself. I have no idea what is causing this. I have tried deleting my keyboard driver, rebooting in safe mode, refreshing my entire computer, I deleted realtek audio. Nothing is working.

    It appears that my mouse is causing the issue. The scroll wheel on my wireless mouse is somehow lowering my laptop volume to zero by itself. It does this constantly. I have tried deleting the driver and then rebooting and reinstalling it but that doesn't seem to work. I can't find any way of disabling this feature. Do you know of a way that I can do this?

    It might be worth it to download this http://www.nirsoft.net/utils/volumouse.html
    which does control the volume by the scroll wheel and see if there is a way to disable this in the program.

    The next option would be to try a different mouse and see if this still happens.

    I have tried volumouse before posting here and I didn't really care for the program. I am going to pick up a better mouse today after work. Thank you for your assistance. I hope you have a great Holiday Season!

    Are you sure Volumouse has been purged from the computer because the volume changing because of the scroll wheel still sounds as if it is active?
