Vostro 1000 Network controller driver issue

Hi
I have had to reinstall XP Pro on my vostro 1000 as the recovery option did not work.
All drivers ok from dell website, but Vostro 1000 Network controller still shows as yellow exclamation mark in device manager. think this may be wireless card as wired internet ok

Any help would be appreciated

XP installed at SP3 and has had all subsequent updates applied.
Will try driver install sequence as you suggest. Is there just one network driver and does it do both cards ( assuming there are two seperate cards for wired and wireless )
there are no other yellow marks, just this one.....seems difficult procedure to get wireless working on xp. Wondered if i just install vista if all the dell site drivers would still be ok

Ok
right click to yellow device
Properties
Details - scroll down the arrow finding Hardware ids -
there is a code in the box , we need it ( select all - copy - paste ) the code here :wave

P.S. searched for this info and found a file `Conexant7.16.00.51` does this sound like the correct one ????

I tried wikidrivers.com but couldnt find a driver search facilty, only the google search.
Incidently all the drivers on the dell site appear to be for vista also...so could i upgrade to vista and use the same vostro 1000 divers ???

 

You could inform us about service tag i think , take a sharp eyed in this article

I logged in with my service tag but the wireless network driver was not listed, there were 2 only the wired card and a diagnostic file
