    as you have done all the needed steps Bern I personally would now take the time to use the info in this http://www.symantec.com/avcenter/venc/data/w32.novarg.a@mm.html to manually search for any traces of the virus the link gives you all the files, names adn locations.

    Do you have OE or other mail app download any internet based mail ( Hotmail, MSN, Yahoo etc etc ) to your machine as it maybe possible that their is a email infected still on the server *just a thought*

    have you tried to manually check the registry for the key its located at

    HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Run

    HKEY_CURRENT_USER\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Run

    highlight the key and look in the pane to the right for

    "Taskmon"="%System%\taskmon.exe"

    if its there delete the value you need to do this for both keys

    if you do this you must then re-register your Webcheck.dll

    to do this Click Start, and then click Run

    type in this: regsvr32 webcheck.dll and click ok

    if your not sure of anything just ask

    oops sorry halo didnt see you there :)

    i have tried to d/load the remove tool from norton without any luck . i also see that the report from my nortons scan says that the virus is coming in from my email attachment . i deleted all my emails . done what General_Lee_Stoned said found nothing there . on the scan norton sometimes find 1 item , i clear it then another 3/4 email virus are found .

    1. i am using micrsoft outlook - is there a folder that saves everthing in ther for outlook that could becausing the same virus to keep coming back

    2. is it possible that the server plusnet has the virus . if so how do i find out

    in outlook express click the edit tab at the top and you can empty the deleted items folder there
    you can set this to automatic by pressing the tools tab then maintenance check the box and press apply

    edit: i see your actually using outlook i aint got that but there must be a similar option in there maybe somebody else will know

    So do I, but if you don't open the attachments you won't get re-infected...
