W32 spyware + IE Popups

    Hello,

    So my Windows XP Computer today started redirecting any results on google to pharmacy's and anti-spyware.

    Furthermore IE has been opening with popups (I only use firefox).

    After running spybot I found several pieces of spyware the one catching my eye being a w32 variety.

    I ran through all the cleaning XP tutorials and have attached the logs below.

    Any help is much appreciated. Thank you.

    w32 generally little more than windows 32 bit. Do you remember anything else about them, or do you have the spybot log?


    Were you able to run combo fix and super antispyware? If so please post those logs as well.

    WHY are you running this PC with no protection installed? Also you are very far out of date with your Windows Updates. This is a very dangerous way to operate.



    We need the requested logs from SUPERAntiSpyware and ComboFix.

    Uninstall Viewpoint Media Player as requested in step 1 of the READ & RUN ME.

    Run this Disable/Remove Windows Messenger to remove Windows Messenger. Do not confuse Windows Messenger with MSN Messenger because they are not the same. Windows Messenger is a frequent cause of popups.


    Also delete all files and subfolders in the below folders except ones from the current date (Windows will not let you delete the files from the current day).
    C:\WINDOWS\temp
    C:\Documents and Settings\Admin\Local Settings\temp


    What malware problems are you currently still having?
