    Hi there everyone!!

I am trying to install a Linksys Wireless notebook adapter, model: WPC54G V2 in a computer with the following specifications:
AMD-K6 III processor (500mhz), 128MB Ram, running on win 98 SE.
Here is the problem, it is my friend's computer, he claims the card had been working fine until his teenage son got a hold of it.
I uninstalled the wireless card from the device manager, network connections, I uninstalled the WLAN monitor to get a fresh start but when I attempted to run the installation cd I get a prompt stating that the WLAN monitor and drivers for the card are already installed!, I have looked EVERYWHERE!! and I don't see them.
I have no problem installing the Wireless card, there are no conflicts with it, the computer detects it (It beeps upon start up) but the WLAN monitor is inactive, It won't let me do anything!.
Can someone shed a bit of light? I am going nuts over this one:(

PS: The wireless card specifications says it works with Win 98 Se..

    Thanks a lot!!
