wanadoo removal

    hello there
    i was removing rubbish from add and remove list for a elderly neighbour when i came across a insert that said wanadoo but she is on my yahoo browser so i tried to uninstall it but there is no way it will go and its still on the pc is there anything that i could use to uninstall it for good that is in plain English and easy to follow, in the bar at the top of the home page it says my yahoo Internet explorer by freeserve i don't know how it gets free serve that was deleted long ago,
    i would be very much obliged if you could put me right many thanks peter

    Hi

    This is how you can remove the IE branding from Freeserve HERE (there is an application *ISPunbrand) or manual steps.

    As for the Wanadoo insert, where is that located? if in Add/Remove then try this application HERE and look for Wanadoo in the list and only remove it anything says Wanadoo.

    What Windows version is she using, plus service pack level, can find this out by right clicking Computer/My Computer and choosing Properties.


    Also as a side note, run through this also a Guide Basic computer maintenance everyone should do

    she uses windows xp home on service pack 3 and yes wanadoo is in add/remove list, many thanks for your help and i will try what you said the next time i get chance in a couple of days,and let you know how i got on,

    i downloaded revo uninstaller from the internet and ran it i was amazed what crap there was on the pc related to wanadoo, i cleared out everything to do with wanadoo it also removed remnants of freeserve as well any how the pc loads and runs at lightening speed ,
