When I enter windows explorer and click on a drive the option to change the drive name is grayed out. can't seem to find a way to get it highlited so the drive can be renamed.
Can you lead me to the answer???

Are you logged on with Admin rights or as a user? I have not encountered this, so thats my first guess.

I would also like to know if you mean the drive letter or actual name?

I'm not logged on as administrator. I seldom do that. For answer to the other question, I'd like to change both the drive letter and name.

You need Admin priveleges to do that sort of thing.

    HERE is some info.

(To change the name is fairly easy, right-click the drive in Windows Explorer, then rename, but again you must be an Admin)
