Want to Collect XP IE History - pls help

Oddly, instead of wanting to shred where I have been and leave no tracks, I do indeed want to save some of my history because sometimes I want/need to go back to certain sites and I just can't seem to locate them again, yet I knew approximately when I was searching..... so I use my history quite a bit, however I currently cannot seem to get my computer to reset the default history time period beyond 9 weeks..... on Win 98SE I was able to save an incredible amount of history, but I haven't figured out how to do so in XP. Each time I try to increase the storage space it defaults me......

Ideally I would like to collect the data and save it detailed by week/date of search.

Alternatively, instead of saving it in the XP history, is there some way to copy/rename the file periodically and access it for such info (or copy the entries therein into a Word doc).

On another topic altogether, I cannot seem to find an easy way to save my AOL9.0 emails outside of AOL. I would like an easy way of saving the emails into other files so I am able to view them without opening AOL (and when I eventually get fed up with AOL and terminate them).

 

As to the problem with the 9 week 'limit', I can't help with that. But for saving your IE history in a Word or Notepad document, that's no problem. Use this: http://www.nirsoft.net/utils/iehv.html You can copy-n-paste the list it produces into Notepad or Word or whatever. The lists are fairly detailed and will contain items that aren't necessarily web sites (like things accessed on C: for example) but it will be a VERY complete history.
